US President Donald Trump has stated that a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine is getting closer, as efforts intensify to end the war after more than three years of fighting and tens of thousands of deaths. During a meeting in Washington on Thursday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer reiterated that any agreement must be fair for Ukraine.
